Serial Founder and Startup Mentor, NYC

Christian Jorg is a serial entrepreneur, C-level hands-on operator and mentor, startup coach and innovative organization builder.

Christian started his career at Bertelsmann, where he founded the New Technologies group for BMG Entertainment in the 90s and made the company’s first investments in Silicon Valley. He invested in and joined the Board of a company founded by Steve Blank (now of “Lean Startup” fame), starting his long relationship with entrepreneurship. Christian was also a senior executive at Imax and led his own independent record label as CEO and co-Founder of E-Magine Entertainment, during the first Internet bubble. In 2005, he co-led the startup team at Flycell and helped build the company into one of the world’s leading direct to consumer mobile entertainment companies.

After stints as Head of Digital for Universal Music Group East Coast and as Head of Media at GLG, he founded Opentopic, which helps companies get critical insights from unstructured data such as news and other content sources, specifically applied to financial markets through its proprietary AI technology. In 2014, he was a Founding Lead Mentor at German Accelerator Tech New York and joined its NYC Steering Committee in 2016. Christian has always made it a priority to give back to the next generation of founders and has mentored over 20 startups throughout his career, including FinTech unicorn N26, AMBOSS, and Crealytics.
